Our spin on a classic 4” silhouette, crafted in our lightweight 2:09 Mesh.
When Oxford graduate student George Dole lined up against Roger Bannister at Iffley Road, he wore a pair of modestly-cut shorts with contrast binding. We’ve long admired the not-too-long, not-too-short silhouette and decided to reimagine the style for modern runners using our 2:09 Mesh. Luxurious and lightweight, these 4” shorts are built for performance, featuring a considered, comfortable liner, two drop-in pockets, and an adjustable drawstring.
These shorts are designed to hit that sweet spot between not too long and not too short, with a modest 4” inseam silhouette, a channeled drawstring waistband, and a roomier rise.
The shorts feature a lightweight liner in the same antimicrobial mesh as the body. Two pockets for keys, credit cards, or gels sit at the back interior of the waistband.
The 2:09 Mesh came to be, not only for its soft and airy texture, but also for its antimicrobial properties. With the funk-free finish, the shorts are built to battle bacteria.
